What we call the camps, in Toubacouta,
are in fact small convivial friendly dwellings inspired by the local culture. They are unpretentious and belong to local people who warmly welcome visitors.

Below, our favorite establishments:

Did you know?
Keur is a Wolof term meaning “at home”. Many of the camps and hotels in Toubacouta include Keur in their name, as the owners want their visitors to feel “at home”.

Africa Strike

At the entrance of Toubacouta, the Africa Strike Lodge camp invites you to a colonial building where each room has a bathroom, air conditioning and a private terrace and where you can cool off in the swimming pool whenever we want. Breakfast is included and the restaurant-bar offers a wide variety of Senegalese and French dishes as well as drinks from noon to 10 p.m.

Keur Bamboung

You will have to cross the delta for 30 minutes to arrive on the magical island of Sipo, where the Keur Bamboung ecolodge is housed. For those passionate about nature and cultural immersion, this place is a favorite. This ecolodge has the protection of the environment at heart: all the buildings were built using renewable resources and are supplied with electricity by solar panels. Another important aspect to mention is that all the employees of Keur Bamboung are all inhabitants of the small island.

Small huts located around a garden with luxuriant vegetation, Keur Youssou will know how to immerse you into the Senegalese culture. The host of the place, Youssou and his wife, are very attentive to their visitors and know how to honor the "Keur" of Keur Youssou. In this small paradise of peace and rest, the dishes served are inspired by the family kitchen and are made with local products.
